Supporter rules

Voluntary support helps us run JEVLAB. The board recognises confirmed contributions to eligible projects.

How supporter positions work

All 16 languages share one board. Any positive USD contribution can count once confirmed and linked to an eligible project. Active positions follow the current 90-day period’s confirmed total minus recorded refunds. Equal totals favour the project with the earliest confirmed contribution in that period. When a period ends, its current recognized total becomes $0 and the project remains at the bottom of the Hall of Supporters. Only projects within their 90-day period with a positive confirmed net total qualify for recognition placements or card selection. This is a supporter ranking, not an editorial assessment or a promise of a fixed position. Lifetime contributions are not the current-period total.

90-day recognition period

Each project’s recognition period begins with its first confirmed contribution and lasts 90 calendar days. The counter decreases daily at 00:00 UTC. Additional support adds to that period’s total and never resets or extends it, even when the position changes. At expiry, the current recognized total becomes $0 and the project stays at the bottom of the Hall of Supporters. A project with a $0 current total has no chance of selection and is excluded from the strip, sidebar, summary boxes and resource-card placements. New confirmed support for the same URL after expiry starts a fresh 90-day period, accumulating from zero. Earlier amounts do not carry forward; historical receipts, contribution records and click records are retained.

One URL, one listing

No JEVLAB account, password or management code is required. Copy the project message and include its canonical URL in your Buy Me a Coffee message. The same URL identifies the same project. Tracking parameters and fragments are ignored; product-identifying paths and query values remain meaningful. Anyone may support an eligible project; supporting it does not grant editing rights. Missing, ambiguous or invalid URLs require manual review before recognition.

Where you appear

The landing page, moving strip, sidebar and resource cards show Supporter names and positions without dollar amounts. Exact current-period totals appear on the Hall of Supporters board. The strip shows the top ten, with a support link after every five; the desktop sidebar and summary boxes show the top five, and detail pages include the top ten. Every five resources make room for a Supporter placement: five individual cards are followed by one top-five summary box. Individual cards are drawn from all projects within their 90-day period with positive confirmed net support, including those outside the top ten and $1 contributors, in proportion to each project’s confirmed net support in its current 90-day period. A selected project is removed from that round, and the next draw uses the remaining projects and their remaining total. After every eligible project has been drawn once, a fresh round starts. For example, $50, $30 and $20 give the first slot 50%, 30% and 20% chances; subsequent chances depend on who remains. Larger contributions make earlier appearances more likely, not guaranteed. The active board positions remain sorted by confirmed net support. Expired projects stay at the bottom of the Hall of Supporters with a current total of $0. Projects with a $0 current total have no selection chance and appear in no strip, sidebar, summary box or resource-card placement. New confirmed support for an expired project’s URL starts a new 90-day period and accumulates from zero; additional support during an active period does not extend its expiry. Other contributions and expiry may change positions and selection chances. We do not guarantee impressions, clicks, sales or permanent recognition.

What belongs here

Use a public project, product, website or official app-store page you are entitled to promote. Your preview must accurately describe that destination. Gambling and betting, adult sexual content, scams, malware, phishing, illegal or infringing material, hateful or exploitative content, deceptive claims, URL shorteners and private group-invitation links are not accepted. We may reject, suspend or remove violating listings.

After you pay

Support is a one-time USD payment through Buy Me a Coffee and its payment processor. Set the final amount there and include the project URL in the message. Card and wallet availability depends on the provider, device and region. Only an authenticated payment confirmation to our server can add support; a return page or screenshot is not proof. The actual confirmed amount is used even if it differs from the estimate. Unmatched contributions are held for review. JEVLAB does not receive card details.

Problems and refunds

Contact support@jev-lab.com about mistaken or duplicate payments, missing recognition or refund requests. We review the transaction and applicable rights. Confirmed refunds are recorded and reduce the contribution total; cases that cannot be reconciled automatically are reviewed manually. Position changes alone do not promise a refund. Mandatory consumer rights remain unchanged.

Recognition and privacy

Supporter positions reflect financial contributions and are separate from editorial recommendations. Paid links retain rel="sponsored". We retain project metadata, payment references, amounts, currency, confirmation and refund events, and the contact or message information needed for matching and support. Card details are handled by Buy Me a Coffee and its processor, including Stripe where applicable, under their own privacy policies. Private payment contact details and messages are not published on the board.
